Jewelry as an Investment

jewleryboxIn these tough economic times, luxury accessories like jewelry are often discarded in favor of more basic needs. But every guy and girl deserves to feel like a prince or princess, and without something nice in her leather jewelry box, this just isn’t possible. If you’re looking to accent your apparel or just feel like a man or women of stature, wholesale jewelry can be a potential solution. This jewelry is bought directly from the supplier, and doesn’t go through a retailer, thus it can be offered to consumers at discounted prices.

Not only is jewelry a fashionable accessory, it’s also a prudent investment. During economic uncertainty, prices of commodities like gold and other precious metals go through the roof. So instead of looking at a piece of jewelry as a frivolous expenditure with no pragmatic use, view it as a hedge against inflation.

watchboxNames like Cartier, Rolex and Tissot may be the height of luxury when it comes to timepieces, but all of their watches look the same. If you are going for a status symbol, donning one of these opulent accessories is certainly the optimal M.O. Personally, I look for something more unique and emblematic of my personality when I am shopping for watches, or any other fashion accessory for that matter.

While they may not earn high marks from GQ, there is an assortment of one-of-a-kind watches depicting an array popular symbols, hobbies and occupations. Whether you want to showcase your astrological sign or let the world know your passion for crunching numbers, these timepieces let others experience a piece of your persona. No matter what style of watch you go with, it’s always a good idea to pick up a couple of watch storage boxes too.

Jewelry, like any other accessory, can lose its shine and luster after some time. It is important to know how to care for them properly. Here are some tips in caring for your jewelry:jewelry-box

~It helps if you keep your jewelry pieces inĀ  jewelry boxes. A jewelry box will keep them in one place, and avoid getting your jewelry misplaced. Choose a box that is lined with cloth to avoid any scratches on the jewelry.
~Pearls and opals need a little moisture. Make sure that your box has a small amount of moisture as this keeps the pearls shiny. However, pearls keep their shine best when they are worn more often as they acquire the body’s natural oils.
~Necklaces must be stored separately from each other. A jewelry box with small divisions would be great for necklaces to avoid the chains from being tangled together.

By keeping these tips in mind, you are guaranteed that your jewelry pieces will last a lifetime, perhaps even longer.

There are certain products that have become synonymous with success and luxury in American culture. For decades, the Cadillac was the status symbol for flourishing businessmen, and in many ways it still is. Although we usually don’t think of men as jewelry wearers, the Rolex was also become a codpiece of sorts.

When I opened up the third branch of my thriving Mexican buffet chain, I decided to reward myself by purchasing my first Rolex. Since I’ve gotten it, the timepiece has rarely left my wrist. For those rare occasions when I choose not to don it however, I have invested in a watch box to ensure that it is out of harm’s way.

watch-storage-caseFor our 40th anniversary, I bought my wife a pricey timepiece. I know that you can tell the time by simply looking at your cell phone, but a watch is not only a timekeeping mechanism, it is also a piece of jewelry. In the past months, my wife has donned the watch with pious regularity.

However, there are inevitably times when the exquisite timepiece isn’t on her wrist. And for these occasions, I purchased her a watch storage case. Not only does the case keep the watch safe from criminals, but it also ensures that the face isn’t scratched by other pieces in her jewelry box.
